CIM Group has finished construction of Channel House, an eight-storey residential scheme at 40 Harrison Street in Jack London Square, Oakland, California, US.

This residential scheme features 333 apartments with the ground-floor space allocated for retail.

Located next to the San Francisco Bay Trail, Channel House is bound by Embarcadero West, Alice Street, and Harrison Street.

This project is located on one of three land parcels, which was acquired by CIM in March 2016, along with seven buildings in Jack London Square. These comprise three office buildings with ground and second-floor retail, three retail buildings, and a parking structure with ground-floor retail.

Leveraging its waterfront location at Jack London Square, the architectural design of the apartment building features a glass façade with sweeping bay views, balconies, and landscaped courtyards.

The project provides residents with on-site amenities, including outdoor terraces and lounges, a fitness centre, a bike storage and a repair facility.

Residences are designed as studio, one, two and three-bedroom floor plans.

Around 2,000ft² of ground floor retail is expected to revitalise the pedestrian street.

CIM has been involved in the Greater Bay area since 2001 and made its first Oakland acquisition in 2007.

In addition to Channel House, CIM Group recently launched 1150 Clay Street, a 16-storey, 288-unit apartment building, and finished the sale of Uptown Station, the redevelopment project of a former department store in Uptown, downtown Oakland, into a 355,000ft²-office building leased by Square.
