MedCore Partners and TNRG have started the construction of a 230-unit senior living community, named The Hacienda at Georgetown, in Texas, US.
The community is being developed on a 13.15-acre tract, which is said to be located at the south entrance to Sun City Texas.
A total of 125 independent living residences, 81 assisted living apartments and 24 memory care units will be erected as part of this resort-style senior living campus.
This $85m project is said to be the first of a two-phase campus. The second phase of this $115m project will include another 84 independent living residences and additional upscale amenities.
The campus will include several dining venues, a resort pool with cabanas, an outdoor restaurant and entertainment pavilion.
It will also feature a spa, salon and fitness centre, theatre, pub, bistro, walking paths, and recreation areas, among other wellness facilities.
The primary restaurant, bar, salon and spa will be open to the public.
Watermark Retirement Communities will manage the property, which is scheduled to open towards the end of 2022.
MedCore Partner Michael Graham said: “This project has been several years in the making, and we are pleased to begin construction on what we feel will be the premier senior living destination in the Hill Country.
“Under Watermark’s management, The Hacienda at Georgetown is committed to offering a lifestyle in a senior living destination that directly matches what its residents have come to expect.”
