The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council is set to build the new Sedbergh Sports and Leisure Centre at the Sedbergh Recreation Ground in Odsal, Bradford, UK.
The project site will provide improved links to the road and public transport networks.
The council will also improve the quality and playability of the sports pitches as part of the project.
Once developed, the various leisure centre facilities will be suitable for a wide range of community requirements.
The sports hall complex of the new facility will also be able to accommodate several different sports and activities.
The amenities at the centre will include a 25m six-lane pool, a learner pool with a moveable floor, wet and dry changing facilities, gym, sports hall, cafe and viewing area, reception/foyer, two dance studios, a spinning studio, outdoor changing, and grass pitches.
The design work for the Sedbergh Sports and Leisure Centre has been largely completed by the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council’s design team.
Specifically designed to suit the requirements of the community, the facility is affordable and will offer a quality environment for the local residents who wish to get fit and healthy.
The facility has obtained planning permission, so construction is slated to begin in early this year and will continue for 18 months.
ISG Construction will serve as the main contractor for the project, which is expected to be completed mid-next year.
