Ascentia Development Group has started construction on the 24-storey Virage luxury condominium tower on Bayshore Boulevard in Tampa, Florida, US.
The company is building Virage in partnership with real estate firm Batson-Cook Development Company (BCDC).
Ascentia Development Group principal Jay Tallman said: “We are off to a remarkably fast start, especially as more people who live in single-family homes are now looking closely at the peace of mind and ease of luxury condominium living.
“We are thrilled to begin construction in earnest, and we are so thankful for the support we have had from this community.”
The existing Virage Sales Gallery building across the street will initially be moved to 2905 W Julia Street, during the construction process.
Virage will have 71 residences, including 61 tower residences, and ten estate and penthouse residences.
Smith & Associates Real Estate is serving as the exclusive listing agent for the project.
Construction is currently underway and the tower is expected to open in late 2019.
Virage has been designed by local architect firm Curts Gaines Hall Jones and is being financed by City National Bank of Florida.
The top two floors of the tower have a single penthouse residence each, with 6,700ft² of space and 360° views of Hillsborough Bay, South Tampa and downtown.
The following four floors are devoted to Estate Residences with two 4,400ft² residences on each floor.
The tower residences range in size from 2,400ft² to 3,300ft², and every residence features a private elevator entrance, 10ft ceilings and access to amenities such as an infinity-edge pool overlooking Bayshore, a wellness centre and pet grooming facilities.
