Wood

Wood Partners selected Balfour Beatty Construction to build its new 13-storey residential tower in Washington’s North of Massachusetts Avenue (NoMa).

To be located at 33 N Street NE, the new building will have easy and quick access to the US Capitol and Union Station.

In order to make room for the new apartment building, Wood Partners has started demolition of the two-storey office building. Construction of the new building is slated to begin this March.

The first units of the 346-unit, concrete-framed luxury high-rise are expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2018.

The building will feature a three-level parking garage with 210 spaces, and will be a combination of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, as well as a select number of micro units and two-level suites.

Among the lifestyle facilities to be incorporated into the building include a fitness centre, club room, co-working space, rooftop pool with resort-style cabanas and barbecue grilling stations, and dog park.
