Balfour Beatty has secured a £70m design-build contract from Land Securities for the Buchanan Street retail and residential project in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.
Under the contract, Balfour Beatty will regenerate the 155,000ft2 area from 185-221 Buchanan Street, which will include retail and residential spaces.

The retail area will feature new shops, cafes and restaurants and completion of the work is scheduled for March 2013.
The residential part of the scheme involves the development of 49 apartments to be completed by late 2014.
