University of the West of England has selected construction giant BAM for a £16m refurbishment and remodelling project involving construction of Enterprise Zone in Bristol, UK.

In addition to the redevelopment works for an existing 4250m² building, the project will also require the developer to fit-out its interiors and work for its mechanical and electrical (M&E) upgrades and installations.

The planned development is expected to offer incubation space for start-up firms and house the Bristol Robotics Laboratory.

BAM has won the project through a competitive bidding for the Construction Framework for the South West.

Parsons Brinckerhoff is the architect for the development, works for which have already been initiated.
