Miami-based developer Crescent Heights has submitted plans to city authorities for a 101-storey skyscraper to be developed at 701 Fourth Avenue in downtown Seattle, US.

The skyscraper will be the tallest in the city and significantly larger than the 76-storey Columbia Center.

The development has been planned on the west side of Fourth Avenue between Columbia and Cherry streets.

Intended as a residential development, the tower will hold 1,200 residential units along with 167,150ft² of office and retail space, and 150 hotel rooms.

Crescent Heights’ previous proposals covered 840 residential units with 190,000ft² of commercial space, which would be mainly allocated for offices.

The developer has appointed Seattle architecture firm LMN for the tower.

Crescent Heights has already paid $48.75 for the project where construction is expected to start in 2017.

The original property owner, the Costacos Family, has signed an agreement with Crescent Heights to sell the half block to a partnership affiliated with Crescent Heights.
