JPRA Architects, a company involved in planning, architecture, interior design, lease administration and environmental graphic services, has selected InterSpec as the lead specification consultant for its Fashion Outlets of Philadelphia at Market East (formerly known as The Gallery).
The project includes total revamp of the four-level mixed-use urban centre, which is located at downtown Philadelphia.

The centre currently covers around 621,000ft² of retail gross leasable area (GLA) over three city blocks.
According to InterSpec, the centre’s location above a busy commuter station in a very urban setting has made the revamp work challenging for the company, which aims to renovate both exterior and interior of The Gallery at Market East.
InterSpec specifier Chris Grimm said: "The most remarkable feature we specified was the unique 65ft structural transparent glass atrium to maximise visibility and light while minimising metal components.

During the entire construction stage of the project, the company expects to continue to provide more specification services on an as-need basis.
