Muse Developments has broken ground on a new £20m performance venue in Doncaster, UK.

The venue is part of the new £300m civic and cultural quarter (CCQ) project to regenerate the Waterdale area of the town centre.

The 5,250m² venue will feature a 620-seat theatre with fly tower and the latest technology to accommodate touring shows, a 200 seated or 400 standing flexible space for live music and smaller productions, modern dance and drama studios, and educational and rehearsal spaces that double up as meeting and conference rooms.

The facility was designed by architects Arts Team RHWL with a focus on giving the venue a modern design with large expanses of glazing allowing people to see inside.
