Shepherd Construction has secured two academy projects worth £21m in Lincolnshire, UK, through the Partnership for Schools framework.

The first project involves the construction of the £12m Priory Ruskin Academy at Grantham for Priory Trust and Lincolnshire County Council. Work on the project will start in February following planning permission.

The 8,430m2 academy has been designed by architect FaulknerBrowns and will be built after demolishing the current school building and the new academy will be a two-storey main building comprising of a specialist teaching block and four separate house blocks.

The other project includes the £9m University Academy Holbeach for Lincolnshire County Council.

The University Academy Holbeach will be a co-educational academy which will house about 1,150 pupils, replacing two secondary modern schools, the George Farmer Technology & Language School in Holbeach and the St Guthlac School in Crowland.
