Skanska to build data centre for Telus in Canada

Skanska has won a $55m contract from Telus to build a new Tier III super internet data centre (SIDC) in Rimouski, Quebec, Canada.

Skanska has won a $55m contract from Telus to build a new Tier III super internet data centre (SIDC) in Rimouski, Quebec, Canada.

The Rimouski SIDC facilities will be designed to achieve LEED Gold certification from the Canadian Green Building Council (CGBC).

The SIDC will be built in phases, with the first phase scheduled to be completed in 2012.

Skanska is building two other data centres, currently under construction in Southern Ontario, Canada.
