The University of Alabama (UAB) in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, US, has unveiled plans for a horseshoe-shaped football stadium on campus at the intersection of 6th Avenue South and 12th Street.
The new stadium will have 27,000 seats with room for 2,500 more fans in lawn seating, as well as 33 luxury suites and 24 boxed seating areas.

The stadium is expected to cost about $75m and the university is planning to approach its board for phase 1 approval, which is expected in November 2011.
