Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium

VINCI Concessions’ subsidiary VINCI Stadium has secured the service concession contract for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium in London from E20 Stadium LLP1.

The 25-year contract covers operation, up-keep and maintenance of the stadium, as well as coordination of part of the park around the stadium during certain events.

Designed as part of the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in London, the 60,000-seat stadium was used for the opening and closing ceremonies and for the athletics events.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium is currently being modernised and will temporarily open to host the Rugby World Cup later this year.

The stadium will be permanently re-opened in 2016 as the home of its future resident club, West Ham United FC, and a venue for the annual IAAF Diamond League and UK Athletics (UKA) athletics championships, which is held every summer.

VINCI, which will also oversee the public facility throughout the year, will build on the expertise of VINCI Facilities UK to handle the general running of the stadium.
