Flintshire County Council in Wales, UK, has selected Wates Living Space as its development partner for its strategic housing and regeneration programme (SHARP).
SHARP is a housing programme with the task of setting up 300 affordable homes and 200 council homes over five years.

To be developed across the north-east of Wales, the project is expected to offer a contract value of around £500m for the development role, reports Construction Enquirer.
The deal will be supported by a provision for extension of up to five years.
Project scope includes potential non-residential constructions, and in addition, the council is likely to invest in land for private schemes for an extended time period.

Design of the new homes will be subject to further plans this year, followed by planning application submissions.
Wates Living Space previously worked in co-ordination with the council, as well as for the Welsh Housing Quality Standard improvement programme.
