Austrian building contractor PORR Bau has signed an agreement with property developer PREMIUM Immobilien for the Handelskai large-scale project in Vienna.
Covering nearly 7,600m² near Vienna Millennium Tower, the project will involve the construction of residential, commercial and office space.

The project design will be done by architects Gerner Gerner Plus.
PORR CEO Karl-Heinz Strauss said: “The large-scale project at Handelskai will not only see the construction of a state-of-the-art residential complex but generous commercial and office units as well.
“As a low-energy building, the project meets stringent sustainability criteria and offers high levels of comfort. Furthermore, it makes another important contribution to creating quality housing in Vienna – Austria’s most populous city.”
The scope of the project will cover the construction of 243 parking spaces and 402 apartments in a 19,500m² area. The apartments will range from 31m² to 83m².

Furthermore, the Handelskai project will include urban gardening zones and communal spaces.
The location of the property makes it easy to commute with multiple transport links. The site also provides many relaxation options such as the adjacent leisure area on the banks of River Danube.
