Construction company John Sisk & Son has entered into a contract to build a £150m campus for banking firm Santander in Milton Keynes, the UK.

The company signed the contract with Osborne+Co, a real-estate developer that negotiated the project on behalf of Santander.

The new office will be designed as an environmentally sustainable building and will accommodate more than 6,000 employees.

It will also feature a fitness centre, cycle storage and an employee rooftop walking and running track.

Once complete, Santander will move all its staff from the existing local offices to the new location.

John Sisk & Son UK South director Ajaz Shafi said: “Sisk is delighted to be appointed by Osborne+Co to deliver the Santander Technology Hub in Milton Keynes. This is a landmark project comprising of circa 500,000ft² of ultra-modern office space constructed over an expansive double basement, which will benefit Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas enormously.

As agreed, Sisk will begin construction work immediately. Work is expected to be completed in 30 months and the campus is scheduled to open in the second half of 2022.

In 2019, Sisk completed 160 years of operation.  It is currently working on several projects in the UK, including Wembley Park, LPTIP Leeds, Circle Square in Manchester, and The Mercian in Birmingham, among others.
