Watercrest Senior Living Group and United Properties have reported that the construction of the 198-unit Watercrest Sarasota Senior Living Community in Sarasota, Florida, US, is steadily advancing.

The luxury senior living campus, being constructed by Walker and Company, is scheduled to open for residents this year.

Watercrest Sarasota is located at 4100 University Parkway and will offer 72 independent living, 94 assisted living and 32 memory care apartments with resort-style service and care.

The major architectural design of the campus features a promenade, fireplace, signature water wall, multiple dining options, pool, salon, spa and grand balconies, as well as Florida-style outdoor living spaces.

Its Market Street Plaza will showcase an outdoor streetscape with various LifeBUILT programming touches. It is said to be a key element of Watercrest’s multi-sensory memory care programming.

Watercrest Senior Living Group CEO and principal Marc Vorkapich said: “Watercrest Sarasota invites seniors to enjoy an exceptional senior living experience in one of our nation’s most beautiful settings.

“We are blessed to collaborate with United Properties and Walker and Company in the culmination of this project as we prepare to welcome founding residents to their new home at Watercrest Sarasota.”

Founded in 2012 by Marc Vorkapich and Joan Williams, Watercrest Senior Living Group offers various amenities and care to seniors.

Watercrest Sarasota is the second senior living development project undertaken by Watercrest and United Properties. Watercrest Naples Assisted Living and Memory Care, which was inaugurated earlier this year, was their first project.

Over the last 30 years, United Properties has developed nearly 200 projects totalling more than 20 million square feet and nearly $1bn.
