Willmott Dixon has been appointed by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council to deliver the £38m Taff Vale redevelopment project in Pontypridd, Wales, UK.

Under this scheme, two new office blocks and a gateway building offering spaces for a café, fitness centre, library, community facilities, customer contact point and new leisure centre will be constructed.

It will bring economic benefits to Pontypridd by providing 14,693m² of office space for more than 1,000 individuals.

The scheme will also involve redevelopment a former shopping area by building a riverside waterfront.

Both the office blocks will feature curtain walling, while the gateway building will highlight a distinctive zinc cladding tile system.

In addition to the main buildings, the scheme will include public realm and highway work, a car park in the basement and bike stands.

It is Willmott Dixon’s latest mixed-use developments under the SEWCSAP framework.

In February, the company won a contract to construct the £80m Rochdale Riverside for a joint venture between Genr8 and Kajima in partnership with Rochdale Borough Council.
