The new wing of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, US, will open on 18 November this year.
The wing, designed by UK-based architectural firm Foster + Partners, is built around the glass-enclosed Ruth and Carl Shapiro Family Courtyard and links the expansion to the main building.
The 12,356m² wing offers exhibition spaces for about 5,000 works, which will occupy 53 galleries spread across four floors.
The ground floor accommodates a 150-seat auditorium, two studio-arts classrooms, and a seminar room, according to fenwaynews.org.
The Museum of Fine Arts was originally designed by architect Guy Lowell.
