Grid Architects has received planning consent for a £200m ($318m) housing project on the Strand in London, England.

Westminster City Council approved the scheme, which will be developed by Mourant Property Trustees and Berkeley Group.

The development will include 206 residential homes built as a series of mansion blocks around two courtyards and 2,090m² of retail, leisure and office space.

The apartment blocks will include a layered façade of stone, laser-cut metalwork and glass.

Berkeley Homes will act as development manager for the project, which will include wider pavements and a public art installation, according to constructionenquirer.com.
