Work to Begin Next Year at Sandhurst Theatre

Work on the proposed 900-seat Sandhurst Theatre in Bendigo, Australia, will begin in April next year, once the project secures funding. The A$21m (US$20.6m) project will be built at the old Bendigo jail, and managed by Bendigo Senior Secondary College and the City of Greater Bendigo. <

The A$21m (US$20.6m) project will be built at the old Bendigo jail, and managed by Bendigo Senior Secondary College and the City of Greater Bendigo.

The proposed commercial theatre will include an orchestra pit, a fly tower, a green room, changing-room and rehearsal facilities, storage and loading docks.

It would also include dedicated areas for Bendigo Senior Secondary College, according to bendigoadvertiser.com.au.
