Westralia Airports Corporation has opened a new industrial building designed by DnA Architects at Perth International Airport in Australia.

The design of the building is based on three main functional elements, symbolising a shed, a bunker and a cantilevered lantern.

The building has a floor area of 6000m², which includes a main processing building and commercial office space spread two floors and four support buildings.

Its design features include a dramatic 10x15m cantilevered structure with backlit translucent cladding that creates a lantern effect.

The mixed-use building, occupied by Patrick Autocare, forms part of a planned gateway to Perth International Airport with contemporary and creative buildings, according to architectureanddesign.com.au.
