British Land and Oxford Properties Sign Joint Venture for UK Skyscraper

British Land and Oxford Properties have signed a 50:50 joint venture agreement to develop the £340m ($524.2m) Leadenhall Building – also known as the 'Cheesegrater' – in London, England. Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners, the 47-storey building will comprise landscaped open

British Land and Oxford Properties have signed a 50:50 joint venture agreement to develop the £340m ($524.2m) Leadenhall Building – also known as the 'Cheesegrater' – in London, England.

Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners, the 47-storey building will comprise landscaped open space, retail and dining facilities with office space.

Detailed planning consent has already been secured with demolition and preliminary basement works completed.

The work is expected to be completed in mid-2014, according to cnplus.co.uk.
