Funding Secured for Eastgate Scheme in Glasgow

UK-based Clyde Gateway Urban Regeneration Company has secured a £10m ($15.4m) fund for Eastgate, an office development in Glasgow, Scotland.

The funding has been provided by the investment arm of Aviva.

The Eastgate scheme will offer office space within a four-storey building, according to offices.org.uk.

Construction is expected to begin in February 2011 with completion slated for February 2012.

Dawn Group, a Scottish property development company, will undertake the construction.

The facility also expects to achieve a BREEAM rating of Excellent.

Eastgate is a part of a long term urban regeneration plan in Glasgow.

Glasgow City Council will use Eastgate as offices for Glasgow Community Safety Services (GCSS).
