Frost Bank Tower in Austin, Texas, has become the first building in the region to receive LEED Gold certification under the existing buildings operations and maintenance (EB O&M) category.

The tower is the largest high-rise office building in the city of Austin.

The 33-storey property is owned by Los Angeles-based Thomas Property Group and is the second property in the group’s portfolio to achieve LEED certification.

The building received an EPA Energy Star rating of 92 out of 100 for its water conservation features, waste minimisation, green janitorial practices and sustainability policies and operating procedures.

The Frost Bank Tower features more than 52,026m² of office space, conference facilities, a bank, ATM, deli / carry-out restaurants, a coffee shop, an overnight courier drop box and a fitness centre.
