Preliminary works will begin in September on the £350m ($544m) SnOasis winter sports centre near Ipswich in Suffolk, UK.
The winter complex is being developed by Onslow Suffolk with Essex-based Mountfield Group as the preferred building contractor.
SnOasis will include Europe's largest indoor ski slope, a 1,500-seat external ice rink; a 400m speed skating track, a 100m dry bobsleigh push start track, a 16m ice climbing wall and a 1.5km cross-country ski run.
The scheme will also feature a multipurpose sports hall, police station, health and fitness centre, 350 log cabins and a 350-bed four-star hotel with a 1,000-seat conference centre.
The complex is expected to be open by the end of 2014.
