The European Regional Development Fund has provided funding for a new office space in Liverpool, as part of the £200m ($319.1m) Central Village scheme.

Funding of £4.5m ($7.1m) has been provided to redevelop the former Lewis's department store building.

The space will see the development of Grade A office accommodation on a central plaza at the site, with a new apartment-hotel to be located within the upper four floors.

Liverpool's Central Village scheme will redevelop a 24,281m² site behind Liverpool Central Station, Renshaw Street and Bold Street, according to freeofficesearch.
