Final Phase of New Orleans Stadium Renovation to Begin

The final phase of renovation work at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, US will begin by the end of January, with work scheduled to be complete by mid 2011. The five-month project will spruce up the building, which has undergone massive upgrades since being wrecked by Hurricane K

The final phase of renovation work at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, US will begin by the end of January, with work scheduled to be complete by mid 2011.

The five-month project will spruce up the building, which has undergone massive upgrades since being wrecked by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Work is this phase includes widening the plaza concourse, building two bunker club lounges, adding additional concession stands and adding 3,500 more seats.

The overall $85m renovation was part of the 15-year lease extension between the the state of Louisiana and the local football team, New Orleans Saints, according to KATC.com.
