Snøhetta and STV Architects have unveiled the interior designs for a proposed arts centre at Virginia Tech in Virginia, US.

The building, known at the Center for the Arts, will cost $89m and includes a 1260-seat performance hall, visual arts galleries, a dining centre and a 279 m² Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology.

Global engineering and acoustics firm Arup is responsible for the centre's acoustic features while Holder Construction Company will serve as the contractors for the project.

The facility is expected to open in 2013.
