The University of Michigan Board of Regents has approved the second phase of renovations and expansion plans at the $52m Crisler Arena in the US.
TMP Architecture and Sink Combs Dethlefs will collaborate on the project.
The expansion scheme will add 5,853m² for new fan entrances, additional retail spaces and ticketing areas, and a private club space.
Renovation plans include improved seating for people with disabilities and renovated concourses, according to mgoblue.com.
The first phase of the Crisler project, approved in October 2010, addressed infrastructure needs such as repair of the roof, electrical, plumbing and air handling systems.
