The city of Minneapolis and the Minnesota Timberwolves have announced a $150m renovation plan for Target Center, an arena in downtown Minneapolis, US.
It is hoped that the renovation project will make the facility more competitive for the coming 20 years.
The plans include opening up the facility; upgrading concourses, scoreboard, message boards, the lobby, locker rooms, toilets and concession stands, and adding a new restaurant, bar, food court, new club seats and a VIP entrance.
Renovation will involve gutting the current 20-year-old facility.
The city has solicited $8m from the state to carry out basic arena improvements, according to StarTribune.com.
