US University Begins $13m Renovation Project

The University of Tennessee at Martin in the US is to embark on the $13m first phase of the Fine Arts Building renovation project.

The new building will feature more than 35 office spaces, 23 practice rooms, three rehearsal halls, two lecture halls, 12 large and specialised studios, five classrooms, computer labs, band library, chamber music room, art display areas and storage space.

The project includes renovation of the existing 5,082m² building and 5,575m² of additional space, expanding the total space by 2,323m².

The project is set for completion towards the end of 2012.
