Wildlife charity WWF-UK has secured approval from Woking Borough Council to build a new national headquarters in the Surrey town.
Designed by Hopkins Architects, the building will be called the Living Planet Centre and will be built above the Brewery Road car park.
The 3,600m² facility will feature a garden piazza and a learning resource centre for school trips, dubbed the WWF Experience.
The building will feature a timber arched roof, with the perimeter of the raised podium to be planted with greenery.
The existing car park will be retained, with the number of parking spaces to be reduced to 165.
The facility is expected to complete in 2013.
