Construction work has broke ground on the $46.8m Infinite Studios in the Mediapolis, a digital media hub in Singapore.
Infinite Studios will have a gross floor area of more than 24,000m².
The building will be a ten-storey development and will play host to Singapore’s first two soundstages.
Media and entertainment firm Infinite Frameworks will be the main tenant of the building, occupying 30% of the space, according to channelnewsasia.com.
One use for these sound stages is for motion-capture technology, which has been used in Hollywood films such as Lord of the Rings and Avatar.
