The new $11.6m Ramona Community Library has opened in California, US.
The new facility is a Tuscan and south-western-style library covering an area of 1,960m².
The exterior of the library features a mixture of stone and orange coloured walls with a central chimney that also serves as a clock tower.
The new library includes a poet's patio, gardens, computer labs and rooms with audiovisual equipment.
The library will mostly use solar power for its energy needs and is oriented to use prevailing winds for cooling and the sun for heating.
The library is divided into sections for different age groups and includes spaces for children of different ages, according to nctimes.com.
