US-based developer Darryl LeClair has unveiled conceptual plans for a $50m development of Tampa Bay's pier in Florida.

LeClair's plans for the pier include a 20,234m² beach area, a park, a splash pad and a beach bar.

The pier will include two parking decks that can accommodate 820 cars hidden by ground floor retail space that will wrap around the building.

Plans also include a three-storey pavilion preceded by a green lawn that will be used to host symphonies or park-type performances, according to tampabay.com.

Additional plans also include a water park, resort-style pool, and an amphitheatre building, depending on the size of the final budget.
