Artificial ski slope creator Acer Snowmec has submitted a bid to take over the Olympic Media Centre and convert it into an indoor snow resort after the games.

The Olympic media centre is being constructed in London at an cost of £330m ($531m).

Acer Snowmec’s plans for the centre include a ski run with a 35° pitch and sharp turns, a snow park with super pipe, rails, kickers and tricks for skiers and boarders, and skier cross courses.

The centre will be built on an area of 28,500m² and include retail outlets and a hotel.

The conversion plan is estimated to cost £40m ($64.39m) according to telegraph.co.uk.
