The Dundee Township Park District Board in Illionis, US, has finalised design plans for the district's new west-side recreation centre.

The 4,459m² facility will include a fitness centre, a double gym with two courts, a pre-school programme, babysitting services, classrooms and a group exercise or aerobics room.

The total construction budget for the selected design is $13.2m with building construction expected to cost $8.33m.

The design plan for the centre was presented to the board district by Daniel Atilano, principal architect of PSA Dewberry of Elgin.

Construction on the centre is slated to begin in May 2011 with completion scheduled for April 2012, according to couriernews.suntimes.com.
