Indian design practice Vistaar Architects and Planners has won a design competition for the construction of the National Tax Headquarters in New Delhi, India.
Vistaar’s design consists of a building that rests on nine vertical cores and is essentially hung top-down from a large set of trusses that span the cores.
The design allows the ground level to remain entirely free and mingle seamlessly with the developed landscape.
The basement of the building will be constructed using reinforced cement concrete while the superstructure will be mostly made of steel to allow for off-site production and fabrication.
