The 22,496m² centre, designed by Michael Matlzan Architecture, will be constructed in three phases.

The building will include a 1,200-seat theatre, a 350-seat music recital hall, a 450-seat little theatre, a 250-seat black box theatre, a 60-seat brown bag theatre and broadcast facilities.

The building's architecture features an expansive horizontal form punctuated by the performance spaces rising above.

The building will incorporate several sustainability features including natural ventilation and daylighting in non-performance spaces, and rainwater capture and reuse.
