UK-based Morgan Sindall Investments has been appointed preferred developer for the £450m ($726m) Royal Pier Waterfront regeneration in Southampton.

The project will be executed in partnership with the Southampton City Council, the Crown Estate and Associated British Ports.

The scheme will include offices, residential, retail and leisure facilities, an extended park and an improved site for the Southampton International Boat Show.

The regeneration will be carried out on a 242,810m² site and is expected to be completed over 20 years.
