Developers Robert McAlpine and Deeley Freed have secured a contract to deliver £400m ($650m) of regeneration schemes in Torquay and Paignton, UK, over the next 20 years.

The developers were selected by the Torbay Development Agency on the basis of their track record and experience after a detailed tender process.

The development schemes will be carried out in a joint venture with Torbay Council.

Plans include the redevelopment of a town hall, terrace car park, and parts of Union Street in Torquay and Victoria Centre, Station Lane and Claylands in Paignton.
