The Glasgow School of Art, located in Scotland, UK, has unveiled plans for an $81m upgrade to its existing facilities.
The project will be the first phase in a two-phase development aimed at creating an urban campus to replace existing buildings.
The project will see the demolition of the Newbery Tower and Foulis Buildings and partial demolition of the Assembly Building.
The project will create new facilities including workshops, assembly areas, a refectory and staff dining area, exhibition spaces, seminar rooms and a 300-seat lecture room.
The school is expecting to receive approval from the Glasgow City Council, reports the Herald Scotland.
