UK-based design practice BDP has won the competition to design the £89m ($145m) Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) organised by the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK.

The building will include meeting and office space, and research and laboratory accommodation including clean rooms.

BDP is the lead designer of the project while Gardiner and Theobald is the consultant for the project team.

Construction of the TIC is slated to begin in early 2012, with completion scheduled for late 2013.

The facility will be designed to meet requirements for a BREEAM rating of Excellent.
