The Al Habtoor Leighton Group has secured a $109m contract construct the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in the UAE.

The building will consist of two towers with 16 floors each.

The ground floor of the building will house ADIB's retail branch and additional retail tenants.

Al Habtoor Leighton Group CEO and managing director Laurie Voyer welcomed the announcement saying, "Al Habtoor Leighton Group has a strong reputation for delivering high quality building projects within the UAE and Abu Dhabi remains a key market for us.

"This latest contract award adds to our work in hand in the UAE capital and we look forward to working with the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank to deliver their new headquarters on Old Airport Road."

Construction of the building will begin this month and is scheduled for completion in October 2012.
