The US Tribe of the Seneca Nation has opened a $23m community centre in Allegany Territory, New York, US.

The new community centre has been constructed in collaboration with KTH Architects.

The building features indoor competition-size swimming pools, a wood-floor gym, an elevated walking track, a lacrosse arena, commercial concession areas with kitchens, multipurpose rooms, fitness rooms, a small studio and a room designated for children's activities.

The lacrosse arena also includes luxury box seating with a high-end finishe and movie-theatre seats.

Seneca Nation is also building a second similar centre in Cattaraugus, New York.
