Canada’s Ryerson University has unveiled plans for a new student learning centre designed by Toronto’s Zeidler Partnership Architects and Oslo-based Snøhetta.

The eight-storey structure will feature a glass façade, an elevated plaza, a bridge to the existing library and other academic and study spaces.

The transparent glass façade will create varying light patterns in the interior space.

Construction on the building is slated to begin in late 2011 with completion scheduled for late 2014.
