Philippines-based developer and mall operator SM Prime has commenced construction on a $464m mixed-use complex in Cebu City in the Philippines.

The development, christened the SM Seaside Complex, will centre around a $104m, four-level mall.

The mall will feature a roof garden, an ice-skating rink, an 18-lane bowling alley, an IMAX cinema and five-theatre Cineplex.

The mixed-use development will also feature hotels, a convention centre, residential buildings and community facilities in addition to a hospital and school.

The scheme could also feature a 30-storey tourist attraction with a viewing deck and restaurant and sculpture made of glass and LED lights, according to bworldonline.com.
