UK Designers Secure Outline Planning Consent for £90m Master Plan

UK-based design firm McDowell and Benedetti has secured outline planning consent for the master plan of the 22-acre former JCB factory site in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, UK.

Planning consent has been granted by East Staffordshire Borough Council's planning committee.

The McDowell and Benedetti master plan had already won an international competition conducted by RIBA for a mixed-use regeneration of the site.

Plans for the site include construction of 257 new homes, 4,200m² of retail, 5,000m² of office space, 3,100m² of institutional space and a 30,000m² town park.

The development plans will be executed by JCB.
